On
20 December 2013, two classes of the Secondary Economic School from
Příbram went on
an excursion to Czech Television to visit one of its studios
located in Prague. Television
in Czechoslovakia started to take its first steps before World War II.
However
it took some years until the viewers could watch the first film. A
trial
television broadcast from Studio Prague started on May 1, 1953, and on
February
25, 1954 it became regular. Czech Television was established on January
1, 1992.
Nowadays we have got two nationwide channels CT1 and CT2, Czech
Television
Teletext and Teletext Express, CT website www.czech-tv.cz, CT24, CT4
SPORT. Students of our school had a chance to visit
and explore four studios from five available. In these studios all
production
of CT is filmed, the students could also see a big number of stage
properties.
They watched a film about Czech TV and tried to work in front and
behind a
camera. Unfortunately, there was not any filming on the Friday before
Christmas, so they could not experience any life work, what a pity,
maybe next time!
Anyway, getting information about newspapers and other media is an
essential part of our Comenius project and from this point of view our
excursion was very
successful.
